Overview

Playing minigames is one of the most exciting parts of Minecraft. It’s likely that you have played on a server such as Hypixel where you have experienced a variety of these minigames and realized how much fun they can be. That is why we have added Quake to our one-click installer. Being inspired by Hypixel, this game is by far one of the most enjoyable minigames in Minecraft. Once you join into the game, you are given a railgun with the goal to shoot other players. With a simple right-click you can fire the gun which shoots a firework and sets off an explosion at the player location, and instantly kills them. With a simple two-second reload, you are ready to shoot again. There are even options to upgrade your railgun to decrease that two-second reload, adding even more excitement to the game. With our services, you can install Quake with a single click. We will be walking you through all of the steps on how to do this along with a detailed description of how to use the pack!

How to install Quake

  1. Navigate to your server control panel.
  2. Stop your server
  3. Reset all of your server files. In your panel, click on Reset Server Files in the bottom left of the server column. It’ll ask you to confirm a few times, so just confirm.
  4. In the JAR File list select “Quake 1.12.2 (premade)”
  5. On the popup, select Change version
  6. Select Create a new world
  7. Click Restart now
  8. Done! Now just load up Minecraft 1.12.2 and join your server to start playing Quake.

How to use Quake

Getting Started

When you first join your server you will spawn into the main lobby area. Here you will see 3 stone selection walls with signs to join each different arena, 9 Arenas in total. Pick an arena to play and get everyone in there, a countdown will begin and then all players will be teleported randomly around the arena and the game begins, use your Gun (hoe) to shoot other players (Or team in team-based arenas). Once you or your team reaches 25 kills the round is over and you are taken back to the main lobby to pick a new arena and do it all again. Multiple arenas can be played at the same time.

Important Commands

/quake create [Arena name] - Creates an arena.
/quake setmin [Arena name] [number] - Sets the minimum number of player to begin the game.
