Terraria is an action adventure center box game that can be most similarly compared to Minecraft. Featuring a procedurally-generated 2D world, Terraria is at heart an RPG like survival game that features exploration, crafting, building, painting, and combat with a variety of creatures. Terraria is also a very mod-centric game, with a plethora of mods, most of which can be played together in a custom blend that you design. Blending elements of classic action games with the freedom of sandbox style creativity, Terraria is a unique gaming experience where both the journey and the destination are as unique as the players themselves!
Running a dedicated Terraria server can be difficult and time consuming. Managing files and configurations properly to make sure mods work is quite difficult. Seeing how unclear this system is, we decided to take save your time. We offer an affordable, simple Terraria server setup allowing you to play with your friends easier than ever before. As a veteran in the server hosting business, Apex Hosting has perfected how to effectively and efficiently manage these servers. Starting a Terraria server is not as simple as installing some software, requiring dedicated server software that allow outside connections for any player. This is insecure and to be strenuous on your network. Our system accomplishes all of this hard work for you. We also make managing the server easier than ever with our web-based game panel. This allows you to install mods, control the server settings, manage players and much more! Without a dedicated server, you would missed out on a lot of different functionalities that Terraria has to offer.
To access your Terraria server settings file, first navigate to your Apex Server Panel. Proceed to the “Config Files” on the left-hand side, then select “Terraria Settings”. This will open your server settings file, allowing you to adjust many of the dedicated server options. If any settings are changed, make sure you press “Save” at the bottom, then restart the server for it to take effect.
To change your Terraria server difficulty, first log into your Apex Server Panel, then stop the server. In the left-hand menu, select the “Customizations” tab. Once it opens, navigate the “Difficulty” setting dropdown and select a new difficulty. Once this is done, return to the main panel page, press the “Change World” button, then enter a unique world name. Once this is complete, restart the server to generate a new world with your chosen difficulty.
To change the Terraria server Message of the Day, log into your Apex Server Panel, then stop the server. From here, navigate to the “Customizations” tab on the left-hand side, then locate the “MOTD” field. Replace the text with your desired MOTD, then return to the main panel page once complete. You can now restart the server for these changes to take effect.
