Overview

Vanilla Minecraft has a limited amount of features for players to enjoy, with the majority of them being easily accessible. These can be randomly generated structures, basic resources, mineral ores, equipment, among other similar aspects. While players explore and build in their server’s world, the gameplay may become repetitive due to the limitations. Solving this leads them to use modifications, introducing a wide variety of new features in Minecraft. If you’re wanting more mobs, structures, building blocks, ores, armor, tools, and other resources, then consider trying Mystical World. This is a Forge mod with many game versions available for you to enjoy. Whether you’re exploring a new dungeon or making sapphire equipment, there’s plenty of activities to keep you occupied. Setting this up to play with friends is quickly done on our panel, as it only takes a few minutes. However, some newcomers to the scene may not be completely familiar with our system. Due to this, we’ll show you how to install and use Mystical World on your Minecraft server in this Apex Hosting guide.
 

How to Download

1. Navigate to Mystical World on CurseForge and click Files at the top.
   
2. Scroll down and locate your desired Game Version for this modification.
3. Once found, press the three vertical dots and click the Download File button.
   
4. Save this file somewhere easily accessible on your computer for later.

If you’re using Forge 1.12.2 to 1.15.2, then install the MysticalLib dependency mod. This is required for Mystical World to function properly, plus the Patchouli modification. However, versions above 1.16.4 only need the last dependent mod for everything to work. Keep this in mind as you continue following the installation steps below.

Client Installation

Due to the mod’s design, it requires you to install Forge with the correct game version on your Minecraft launcher. This is needed for any modifications to work properly, making this extremely important. Once you’ve done this, follow along below to start loading Mystical World.

1. Open your Minecraft launcher and press the Installations option near the top.
   
2. Locate your previously installed Forge profile, then click its Folder icon to the right.
   
3. In the new window, find and enter the mods directory from the list.
   Note: If you don’t see this, then create it before proceeding.
4. Once there, drag and drop your downloaded files into this folder.
   
5. Return to your modded profile and click the Play button to begin loading everything.

Server Installation

Similar to the client installation, you’ll need to enable Forge with its corresponding game version on your server. This is done by selecting it from the Game File area of your main panel, then restarting to begin loading the files. After doing this, follow the instructions below to install Mystical World.

1. Head towards your Apex server panel, then click FTP File Access at the top left corner.
   
2. Continue to enter your Password in the text box and press the Login button.
   
3. Afterward, click on the mods folder and press Upload near the top left.
4. Proceed to drag and drop your downloaded files into the respective area.
   
5. Wait for this to reach 100%, then return to the main panel and generate a new world.
6. After doing this, Restart the server for everything to begin loading properly.

Getting Started

Upon joining the server, players may be met with new resources right away. This can be spawning near a new type of tree or flower in the world. However, most of these new features require you to craft them. With this in mind, we strongly recommend installing the JEI modification to easily access their recipes. Otherwise, making the official Encyclopedia Mysticum item is another option to accomplish the same task. This is done by combining a normal book with Aubergine, obtained by harvesting its seed from grass around the environment. Besides this, there are lots of new blocks in your world for the taking. These come in handy when crafting other materials, which we’ll break down for you in the following subsections.
 

New Minerals

While exploring caves, players may stumble upon new mineral ores. These include Tin, Silver, Quicksilver, Lead, Copper, and Sapphire. All of these are mainly used for tools, weapons, and armor. Each type of mineral carries unique properties, leading to special sets of equipment that may help your future adventures. Alternatively, these ores allow you to make custom blocks for your base or other structures. As for locating any of them in your world, they’ll have a default generation like iron or diamonds.

Building Blocks

Instead of minerals, there’s plenty of new resources and blocks to find or craft. A few notable ones include Soft Obsidian, Uncanny Sand, Charred Logs, Pearl Blocks, and Mud Blocks. These give you and others many opportunities to build amazing structures, but also provide you with more decor options.

 
Most of these blocks are craftable, but may appear elsewhere as you continue exploring the world. For example, charred logs are found in forests and resemble a previously burnt down tree.
 

Unique Structures

Adventuring off in the world may lead you and others to unique structures. There are four different types to explore from this modification: Sand House, Hut, Ruined Hut, and Barrow. All of them have lootable chests, allowing players to obtain potions, food, basic resources, and occasionally enchanted items. Unfortunately, you’ll only find normal materials in these randomly generated structures rather than overpowered gear.

However, keep in mind that there are normally multiple levels to them. If you only explore the surface and find nothing, consider digging around for more.

If you encounter a Barrow, then make sure you’re well equipped with armor and weaponry. This is due to the fact there’s monsters lurking inside of it, as it’s a surface-level dungeon. Expect a mob spawner near the bottom of this structure with profound loot in nearby chests. These are considered to be the best to stumble upon in the world, considering the potential items it offers. However, barrows are hard to find and appear to be rare throughout the land. Keep this in mind when journeying off to search for one.

Wild Mobs

Rather than hunting for random structures or mining for precious ores, players might find themselves near new animals or monsters. Whether you see a Frog or Beetle, there’s plenty of them to enjoy. Others include Deer, Silver Foxes, Sprouts, Enderminis, Lava Cats, Owls, Silkworms, Calms, and Ducks. There’s many different species around the world, but some may accidentally do damage against players.

Make sure to be careful when interacting with any hostile mobs, as they may end up hurting you.
 

Custom Equipment

Whether you’re wanting consumable items or wearable armor, Mystical World offers you a wide variety of tools, weapons, and equipment to try out. Most of them are pickaxes, swords, shovels, and other normal types that use the new ores from before. However, there’s two new weapons for players to craft: Spears and Knives.

 
These give you more options to use in combative situations with mobs or players. Additionally, there’s new armor that has unique effects for you to enjoy. For example, Sapphire gives you luck and serendipity that buffs fortune enchantments. This concept applies to other pieces of equipment too, but there’s one consumable item that is completely overpowered. Introducing the Epic Squid, providing players with regeneration, absorption, invisibility, and tons of other status effects. This surpasses even an enchanted golden apple, so it’s certainly worth making for your adventure.
 

Special Potions

There’s even more consumables for you to try, such as Rose Cordials that give you a burst of energy. This applies a slow regeneration effect on your character, while others can either harm or give you different abilities. These are craftable by using 4x Bottles, 1x Water Bucket, 2x Sugar, and 2x of a farm item. It’s strongly recommended to use JEI or the encyclopedia book to view all their respective recipes. After making it, you and others will receive four bottles full of this mysterious potion.

Miscellaneous

There’s plenty of other resources and items to find throughout the world, with most of them being food or mob drops. For example, you may receive Antlers after killing deer or Venison to satisfy your hunger. This adds more options in Minecraft, hopefully leading to an improved gameplay experience. Besides this though, you can craft Bone Piles to eventually make Skeletal Remains to add extra details in your structures. There’s many opportunities to get creative with this Mystical World mod, as the amount of possibilities are endless.
 

Configuration

If you’re unhappy with certain features from this modification, then tweaking its settings is recommended. This is achieved by accessing the configuration file from the FTP panel, then making your changes and saving them. Whether you’re wanting to change ore generation or structure spawning, you have complete control over everything. Follow the steps below to begin editing the mod options to personalize your server and in-game experience.

1. Navigate to the FTP File Access area on the panel and login with your password.
2. Once there, locate and enter the config directory from the list.
   
3. Press the Edit button on the mysticalworld-common.toml file, revealing its contents.
   
4. Make any of your desired changes, then click Save at the top.
   
5. Return to the main panel and Restart the server to apply the edits.

Common Issues

One of the most common issues is failing to join the server after setting up everything. This can be caused by a wide variety of reasons, with entering an incorrect IP Address:Port or Subdomain being the primary one. This information can be found and verified on your server panel, just in case. Besides this, incorrectly configuring your Minecraft launcher may result in a failed connection. This happens when either not successfully transferring the files into your mods directory, not using the correct modded profile, or simply forgetting to install Forge. Make sure you’ve done everything accordingly so your launcher works properly.

In some cases, the modification isn’t working properly on the server or launcher. Remember, you’ll need to select Forge and your desired game version in the panel before installing Mystical World. Afterward, double check you’ve installed all dependencies with the main file in the mods directory. However, generating a world is required after doing this due to the modification’s impact on the environment. Additionally, making sure all versions match is suggested to ensure compatibility across the launcher and server.
