Overview

Everybody gets sick and tired of vanilla Minecraft eventually. What is there to do after you’ve beaten the ender dragon a thousand times? Well, Skygrid is certainly an option! Skygrid is a gametype that spawns you on a single block, with random blocks spawning individually every four blocks. Surprisingly, there’s actually a lot to this gametype, and Apex Hosting offers everything it comes with available in just a few clicks! Whether all you want to do is jump from block to block, find chests and loot, or just load the game and tab out of Minecraft to do something else, Apex Minecraft Hosting has got you covered! Simply follow this guide and you’ll be up and running with a Skygrid Minecraft server!

Getting Started

1. Head over to your Apex server panel, and make sure to stop your server.
2. Reset all of your server files. In your panel, click on Reset Server Files in the bottom left of the server column. It’ll ask you to confirm a few times, so just confirm.
3. In the JAR File list select “Skygrid 1.16.3 (Premade)”.
4. On the popup, select Change version.
5. Select “Use Included World”.
6. Restart the server when it asks, and you’ll be able to connect with version 1.16.3!

Here at Apex Hosting, the installation of the SkyGrid game type is as easy as selecting the game type from the drop-down bar on your Multicraft Control panel! Once you’ve selected it simply restart your server and you’ll be good to go and ready to play Skyblock

Getting Started

When you first join the server you will spawn at the main spawn witch has a shop and some info on the game mode. You can setup treasure/vote creates here if you like. you can return here at any time using /spawn.

/wild – Get taken somewhere random in the grid
/spawn – Return to spawn
The admin command for SkyGrid is /sgadmin

Ranks

We have pre done all the ranks for you with Member, Mod, Elite, Admin & Owner.
Member is the default rank everyone will join as with permissions to join and play.
Mod is a staff rank with basic moderation permissions (/kick, /mute, /ban)
Admin has All the permissions to run the server.
Owner has every permission

The ranks can be edited using PEX (Note that you will need to set yourself to owner at first)

Challenges

Skyblock & Acid island both include a challenge set that players can get to by using /ai challenges or /is challenges. The admin challenge panel can be accessed by using /acid challenges or /bsbadmin challenges. There are 5 Challenge levels with 10 challenges in each . You can add or remove challenges in the admin menu. Challenges can give any reward (Items, Money, Permissions)

Starting Zone: Players will be taken somewhere random on the grid when they use /sg they can return here at any time with /sg you can go in all 3 worlds (Overword, Nether & End)

Shop: There is a shop set up in the skyGrid world for players to use to help them get extra resources not found out in the wild. You can edit the items and prices by simply editing the sign.

Ore Generation: We have added in random ore generation for both game modes. As the islands level up better ores will generate. You can see the ore rates with /oresall You can edit the rates as you like.

Biomes – Biomes addon for SkyBlock and AcidIsland. It allows you to change biome on Island.

Levels – Add-on for BentoBox to calculate island levels for BSkyBlock and AcidIsland.

Acid Island

BentoBox – BentoBox is an expandable Minecraft 1.13+ Spigot plugin for island-type games like SkyBlock or AcidIsland.
