With the new type of updates, known as ‘game drops’, Minecraft will see more frequent changes. One of these was recently announced at Minecraft Live of this year, showcasing a new biome and mob! This is super exciting, as it’s not every day a new biome gets released. These changes just arrived as a snapshot, then will be officially released as a ‘game drop’. Remember, these smaller updates will replace the big one each year – so Minecraft 1.22 is still a bit away. With this in mind, let’s learn everything about the new biome and mob!
Minecraft Live 2024
In the latest Minecraft Live, Mojang announced many upcoming features, events, and plans for the future. The most popular news is about The Pale Garden biome and The Creaking mob. It showcased an unsettling environment with a terrifying monster in its forest. Parts of the Minecraft community loved this, while others didn’t. Despite what you think about it, there’s no denying that a new biome is always welcomed in the game – especially when it introduces unique resources.
The Pale Garden Biome
Almost all the biomes in Minecraft are vibrant with various colors and hues, but The Pale Garden isn’t. In this environment, the sky darkens, sounds stop, and everything is gray with slight differences. The atmosphere is unnerving and nothing like we’ve seen before in-game, not counting deep dark caves. This biome is a large forest with big trees and dangling moss. All of its blocks are completely new, such as white wooden planks!
The Creaking Mob
While inside of The Pale Garden, you may hear a strange noise in the distance. This is known as The Creaking mob, a tree-like creature that targets you out of sight. Players must stare at it if they want to stay alive. You’ll be unable to kill it, as the heart is located in a nearby tree. Destroy that to finally end the battle! With silk touch, you can even pick up its heart and prank friends with it. Unfortunately, there is no item drop for The Creaking – but this may change upon full release.
Minecraft 1.22 Update
In the upcoming big update for Minecraft, we can expect to see the new biome and mob. However, we already have access to these new features in the latest snapshot. We can surely anticipate an official ‘game drop’ in the coming weeks, but the answer is unclear. There are bound to be more changes coming with future updates! Who knows what might be added next, but The Pale Garden will be an excellent biome for Minecraft due to its unique wood blocks – great for building.
