Satisfactory Edit Save File

Overview

In the resource-rich world of Satisfactory, there is a ton to explore and conquer. Whether you build the most efficient machines or collect all of the hard drives, there is plenty to do. After some time, you may encounter a variety of situations that call for save file editing. This can be to fix glitched vehicles, deleting large buildings, or just using different cheats. With the Satisfactory Interactive Map, you can completely tweak your world and the players within it. Many find it overwhelming and are unsure where to start, so we have created this Apex Hosting tutorial to help you begin.

Downloading the Server World

  1. Navigate to your Apex server panel, then turn off the server.
  2. In the left-hand menu, log into the FTP File Access.
  3. Navigate to .config > Epic > FactoryGame > Saved > SaveGames > server.

  4. Within the list of files, locate your desired save.
  5. Click the name to download the file to your own computer.

Note: In some cases, the file may be too large to download through the panel itself. To rectify this issue, use an external FTP program to download the files directly. Once achieved, you can continue as normal.

Locating a Singleplayer World

In some cases, you may already have a game imported into singleplayer, requiring you to locate the file(s) within your own device.

  1. Press the Windows Key + R to open a prompt window.
  2. Enter %appdata%, then press Enter to open the file browser.

  3. Use the Up arrow to access the AppData folder.

  4. Locate to Local > FactoryGame > Saved > SaveGames.
  5. Enter the numbered folder, then locate the desired save file.
  6. Move the file to an easily-accessible location.

This is helpful if you want to test out a few items or want to add in tons of FICSIT coupons for the shop.

Change Map Structures

Satisfactory Save Edit Change Structure

As you add more and more structures to your world, it can become increasingly tedious to upgrade, move, or delete them. Thankfully with this tool, you can select the desired area and access plenty of options. Whether you upgrade machines, change the materials, or more, these options are right at your fingertips.

Adjust World Options

In most cases, it can be difficult to adjust your world after it has already been created. But by pressing the Options button and visiting the Map Options tab, you can change a variety of settings. Tweak the name, world unlocks, and even enable some creative features like unlimited power.

Unlocking Research

Trying to unlock all of the alternate recipes is often inconvenient, especially while you are trying to make your machines as efficient as possible. With the Research Options, you can unlock all alternate recipes, tiers, and even hidden recipes for the FICMAS event. Simply tweak them to your liking and they will update in-game.

Conclusion

Overall, there are a ton of options to play around with and use on the Interactive Map. In most cases, you can just use the map options to view the remaining resource nodes or hard drives in your map. This can be especially helpful if any loot crates or trains encounter bugs and need to be manually deleted. Otherwise, there are many settings and features to test out when working on your world. We recommend keeping a backup of your existing map before performing any edits, just in case you wish to revert any changes later on. While it may be a lot to learn, having a visual editor to work on is often much easier than attempting to use a text-only program. With this in mind, you are ready to upload your Satisfactory world, adjust it to your liking, and continue your endless resource acquisition!
