Mod Showcase
The Farmer’s Delight mod for Minecraft Forge and Fabric doesn’t only add new food items, but extra ways to cook and prepare them. This means you’re able to have a full fledged kitchen in your base! There’s even weapons and tools added in Minecraft with this mod, such as a knife – primarily used for slicing up food for more quantities. We’ll be showcasing what’s available in Farmer’s Delight to help you learn how to farm and cook new types of food. If you’re curious about more information, then navigate to their official wiki.
Organic Compost
While exploring villages in Minecraft, you might encounter strange new looking blocks. These are organic compost and rich soil, used for improving your crops in the farm. We encourage you to take these for later, but you’re also welcome to craft them. Use various organic items to create your own compost. Examples include, rotten flesh, bone meal, dirt, and other similar materials. Keep in mind that there’s more to the process when it comes to farming, as rich soil isn’t craftable.
Rich Soil
Turning your organic compost into rich soil is required for improved farming. This can be achieved by placing them down near water sources, then waiting for its transformation. On average, players will need to wait around 10 mins before this finishes. You can notice the subtle changes of the organic compost, hinting that the process is taking effect. Unfortunately, this cannot be sped up!
Improved Farming
There are all sorts of new crops, vegetables, and other food-related ingredients to farm in Minecraft with the Farmer’s Delight mod. These range from tomatoes to cabbage, which can be found in the wild as you explore the world. Otherwise, you might be able to find them in villages or shipwreck supplies. Vanilla food items can also be used to make new dishes to try out, so get creative and begin farming with your hoes.
Cooking Pot
One way to make new types of food in Minecraft is to use the cooking pot over a fire. This allows you to make various stews and soups to try out. We encourage you to place a variety of ingredients into the UI, along with bowls to see what you make! Whether it’s vegetable soup or mushroom stew, you have plenty of opportunities to create the best dish possible. Make sure to have enough bowls though, as each serving requires it.
Stove Cooking
In cases where soups or stews aren’t your fancy, then consider using a stove with a skillet to prepare delicious foods. This can be amplified with a cutting board and knives too, providing extra quantities to players. You’re able to mix and combine ingredients in the skillet to create new dishes – including, bacon & eggs, steak & potatoes, honey glazed ham, and even a stuffed pumpkin. There are tons of other combinations too, so get creative and have fun!

FAQ – Farmer’s Delight
This mod is only available for Minecraft Forge 1.15.2 to 1.20.1, along with Fabric 1.16.5 to 1.20.1. More updates are planned in the future!
If you’re using the Minecraft Forge version of the mod, then no. However, Fabric requires the Fabric API to work properly without any issues.
This is the result of not generating a new world or exploring far enough in an existing one. We recommend making a new map, but you’re also welcome to travel across great distances to find chunks with the mod features.
