Host Your Own Curiosities – Fresh Animations Server

Purchase a server if you haven’t already, then follow the instructions below to set up your own Curiosities – Fresh Animations server.

1. Head towards your Apex server panel, then locate and click the Game File area.
2. Proceed to type “Curiosities – Fresh Animations” and select it in the options list.
   
3. Continue to click Change Version, Create New World, and Restart Now.
   
4. Wait for the modpack to load, then install it on your CurseForge launcher.
5. Once that’s finished, you can join the server with the IP Address:Port / Subdomain.

Curiosities – Fresh Animations Modpack

Upon joining the Minecraft server with friends, the first noticeable feature is the new textures. Every single block, item, and entity is reshaped with two primary resource packs. These further immerse you in the gameplay, along with new animations for mobs! The creatures of Minecraft come to life with this modpack, offering you a new perspective compared to Vanilla. Besides these features, expect many more as you continue playing the Curiosities – Fresh Animations modpack for Forge 1.19.2.

One of the changes is how advancements (achievements) are completed and tracked. You’re able to access this new menu by pressing CTRL + L on your keyboard. This also provides you with useful information about new structures, mobs, items, and more in-game. There’s an optional sidebar outside of this menu, which is disabled by pressing ALT + L on the keyboard. Keep track of your progression and set forth on this new adventure with friends.

Animations

One of the major aspects of this modpack are animations, making all living creatures come to life! For instance, villagers now blink and have realistic breathing / idle movements. They can even turn their head and walk more casually. The details are so impressive that even their eye movements are animated. Similar features are applied to other passive mobs too, such as pigs, cows, or sheep. This creates an immersive environment unlike anything seen before in Minecraft, only possible with the Curiosities – Fresh Animations modpack.

As for hostile mobs, they also get revamped animations. Their walking and idle movements are realistic, making them appear to be truly alive – in this case undead, if it’s a zombie! Upon attacking them, they will act as if you really did slash at them. This concept goes for all other creatures in Minecraft, but some features are exclusive to few entities. This typically requires Optifine, but the Curiosities – Fresh Animations modpack doesn’t require it.

Custom Biomes

In the vast world of Minecraft, only a few biomes exist for players to explore. This changes now – begin a journey across the lands to uncover unique environments. For instance, there are many new types of forests to find with Curiosities – Fresh Animations. These can generate on flat or mountainous terrain, making them widely common. This also influences cave system generation, so keep that in mind when exploring.

There are many varieties of biomes with this modpack, with a large portion of them being mountains. These can range from atmospheric forests to sluggish watery hills. This can make exploration difficult for some players, especially if these biomes are massive. It’s best to navigate through optimal areas, but sometimes you must climb over the mountains. Regardless, all of these unique environments immerse you more in the gameplay.

New Dungeons / Structures

In the midst of discovering new biomes on your Curiosities – Fresh Animations server, you might stumble upon a dungeon! These are typically found underground, but can generate near surface-level. One such example is a structure that worships creepers, filled with valuable treasures and dangerous monsters.

Some of these are called husks, carrying golden swords – so watch out!

Other times, you will find completely unique villages or magical towers in Minecraft. These are perfect for finding loot, trading with nearby villagers, and starting a new base. Unlike Vanilla structures, these typically are large and numerous in the world. We strongly encourage you to find these on the surface, as they make for a good adventuring experience with friends.

Unique Equipment

What’s a modpack without custom items? This pack offers you a wide assortment of armor, tools, bows, weapons, and even magical staves. A lot of them can be crafted, but few are only obtainable through chest loot or mob drops. You’re even able to apply special abilities to some for extra damage or other effects. Additionally, you get a backpack to store all your valuables or equipment! This is an adventurer’s best friend in the Curiosities – Fresh Animations modpack.

New Dimension

Rather than leaping into a Nether or End portal, consider making an Ulterlands variant. This strange and new dimension is a mixture of both worlds, along with deep dark caves. You’re able to build this portal by crafting Obsidian B-12 and placing them down normally. Players can find its recipe in the JEI menu from the inventory screen. Ignite the portal with Rift Totem and enter through to find a new world!

In this magical area, the sky will resemble The End, its terrain will be similar to dark daves, and its pools of water will be like the Nether – only without lava. There are creatures flying around and many ores inside mountains for you to collect. This whole dimension opens the food for possibilities not found in the Overworld. Make sure to be well equipped with tools, weapons, armor, building blocks, and food before adventuring in the Uterlands.
