Overview
As you play vanilla Minecraft, learning to maneuver and fight in tight spaces is a skill that any survival player will need to learn. Over time, players desired a way to further hone these skills and participate in a player vs player battle. Introducing The Bridge, a PvP gametype that has two teams fight across a bridge that is only one block wide. In order to win, a team must earn as many kills as possible, as well as jumping into the goal in the opposing base. With this gametype, all of the plugins, arenas, and other necessary tools will be configured by default, allowing server owners and players to jump right into the action. With Apex Hosting, installing a premade gametype is as easy as performing a few simple clicks, so we have created this tutorial to guide you through the setup process.

- (Optional) Backup any optional files using the FTP File Access.
- Once back on the main panel, press “Reset Server Files” in the left menu.

Getting Started
Upon first joining the server, you will spawn into the gametype lobby. This beautiful area is designed to be a giant flower-covered field with many vibrant colors. In the middle of the lobby you will find the main features of the server.
Here, you will find a variety of different tools and shops to gain cosmetics for the server. Use in-game currency earned through the gametype to purchase a variety of keys. These keys can be used to unlock crates in order to earn a random cosmetic item. These vary from particle effects, specific name tags, and more. Alternatively, the statistics scoreboard can be found nearby to see your progress.
Joining an Arena
Once you are ready to join a PvP match, navigate to the various NPCs standing on the colored blocks. Right-clicking any NPC will send you to the matching arena, whether the theme is pirates, a festival, and more. Listed above each NPC will also display the maximum player count, allowing for 8v8, 4v4, and 2v2 modes.
Match Countdown
When an arena is joined, you will be sent to the waiting area. This small island will allow players to climb around and check the arena in the distance. Once at least half of the maximum players have joined, a 60-second countdown will begin before the match starts.
Player Vs Player
When the match begins, all players will be separated into the red and blue team, each starting on their respective bases. The players must fight across the small bridge in order to earn the most kills and enter the portal in the opposing base to score a point. After 5 points are earned or the time expires, the winner will be announced.
