Overview

After playing vanilla Minecraft for an extended period of time, you may consider the world of modded gameplay. While many of these mods will add new features to the world, there are many to choose from and often lack an overarching goal. Introducing InsaneCraft, a modpack that aims to solve these issues at the same time. With over 250 of the best mods and a goal to obtain the most powerful items, there is tons of content to play through by yourself or with others on a server. With Apex Hosting, installing a modpack is as simple as using our dropdown menu, so we have written this tutorial to guide you through how to get started with InsaneCraft.
 

Summary

InsaneCraft is a 1.12 modpack developed by SparkUniverse_ on CurseForge. Featuring many classic mods such as Dimensional Doors, Twilight Forest, and over 250 others, there is no lack of gameplay additions. The main goal of this modpack is to collect the infinity stones and wield the gauntlet to become Thanos.
 

Server Installation

1. Navigate to the Apex Server Panel, then stop the server.
2. Scroll down to the Game File section on the page.
   
3. Open the dropdown menu, then select InsaneCraft.
4. When prompted, choose to change the version.
5. In the next prompt, we advise generating a new world to prevent issues.
   
6. Finally, restart the server to load up the modpack.

Client Installation

Before proceeding, ensure the CurseForge Launcher has been installed for your desired operating system. Once installed and configured, open the program to its main page.

1. From the CurseForge launcher, select Browse Modpacks near the top.
2. In the search bar, enter InsaneCraft, then press Enter.
3. Locate and select the InsaneCraft Modpack option from the list.
   
4. Press the orange Install button to begin downloading the pack.
5. Once completed, return to the My Modpacks tab using the top buttons.
6. Find the newly installed modpack, then press Play to start it up.
   

How to Get Started

Changes to the World

Now that you have spawned in, you may notice some immediate differences to your world as you explore.
 

New Creatures

Various creatures, such as deer, chameleons, and more can be found across your world. Newly hostile mobs are included.

Dimensional Portals

If you see a strange portal, you may have encountered a dimensional door. These can lead you through mini-dungeons for rewards or cause you to become lost.

Unique Blocks

With new mods also comes new blocks, which may be found in various structures throughout the world, such as Astral Sorcery’s marble blocks.

New Buildings

As you continue exploring, you may find new buildings of interest sitting across the land. While some may be innocent houses, others may have a nefarious purpose.

Collecting Resources

Unlike some modpacks, collecting resources is not restricted, allowing you to set up a Minecraft world as normal. Break trees, craft tools, and continue to play the game as you would on a normal world. Once you begin delving underground for ores, you may begin to find some differences.
 

New Ores

Across a variety of dimensions and depths you will find many new ores. These will have uses in many different mods, such as copper for wire or runium for runes. Caves are also different, featuring blocks like crystals to further build upon the aesthetics.
 

Primary Goal

The main goal of this modpack is to collect all of the infinity stones in order to gain the power of the Infinity Gauntlet for yourself. As you forge a full infinity gauntlet, you will gain access to a variety of powers. Fast forward time, lift your enemies, morph blocks, and much more as you gain the power of the gauntlet.
