Overview
Fighting the Ender Dragon can be considered a staple to any Minecraft server. You may even want to wait for all players to be ready to fight the dragon together and make it an event! Sometimes though players might skip ahead and fight the dragon alone, or you may wish to fight the dragon again to get more XP or collect some Dragon’s Breath. Luckily there is a way to respawn the Ender Dragon. In this guide we will go over exactly how you can do that!
How to Respawn the Ender Dragon
End Crystals
The first and most important step to respawning the Ender Dragon is to create 4 End Crystals. In order to do this you will need 4 Eye of Ender, 4 Ghast Tear, and 28 Glass.
Place your crafting ingredients into a crafting table like so to create the needed End Crystals:
Reviving the Ender Dragon
Now that you have all 4 End Crystals you are ready to respawn the dragon. Head back to the end and locate the final game portal made out of bedrock. Place the End Crystals one on each side of the portal. Here is an example of where they should be placed:
The highlighted square is where the 4th and final crystal will go. Be careful as once you place this they will activate and start regenerating the obsidian pillars. Once those are regenerated the Ender Dragon will respawn. Be prepared to fight!
Common Issues
The most common issue you may find is the Ender Dragon just will not spawn and the End Crystals did not activate. Be sure to check the placement of the crystals as seen in the image above. Check that you have placed each end crystal in the middle of each of the fours sides of the portal.
