Zombies are a legacy mob in Minecraft. Their sound effects are classic, recognized by those that don’t even play the game. Their design is cartoonish, with green pale skin and torn clothing. They even infect people and turn them into zombies! That’s right, villagers are actually at risk of turning into zombies and then becoming one of the undead. Fortunately, however, you can actually revert said victim back into a normal villager. Today, we’re going to talk about how you can cure zombie villagers and turn them into normal villagers. Let’s begin!
To turn a zombie villager into a normal villager you’re going to need a fair amount of items. Unfortunately, this is a somewhat complicated process which will take some time. You will need:
After you’ve gotten the ingredients you’ll need, we’re gonna get brewing! To turn the zombie villager back into a normal villager we’re going to need a potion of weakness.
Here’s the step-by-step instructions on how to move forward with the ingredients you’ve collected.
Use the Brewing Stand by adding the Fermented Spider Eye to the water bottles until you’re created a Potion of weakness.
Next, transform the Potion of weakness into a splash potion by adding the gunpowder as an ingredient to the Brewing Stand.
Head over to the zombie villager (who is by this point hopefully detained) and throw the splash potion of weakness on him. Don’t worry about getting any on yourself, it’s not a big deal. You can tell if you’ve properly applied the potion to him because he’ll have a gray particle effect emanating from him.
Lastly, feed the zombie villager the Golden Apple by right-clicking on him with the apple in your hand. If done properly, this will make a fairly loud noise, and afterward, the zombie villager will be shaking whilst emanating red particle effects.
The transformation into a normal villager will take some time, but once he has been cured, he’ll be more valuable than your average villager. This is because zombie villagers that you’ve cured offer decreased prices on trades compared to normal villagers. Dope!
That’s pretty much it. The process to cure zombie villagers and transform them into normal villagers is somewhat complex, at least by Minecraft standards. It is one of the only mechanics in Minecraft that forces you to wait patiently as an event takes place, but oh well. In any case, I hope this blog helped you out, and have a great day!
