How to Become Admin on Your Palworld Server

Monitoring and managing your Palworld server is primarily done with admin permissions, giving you the ability to broadcast messages or ban players. Other powers include teleporting to anyone or saving world data, proving useful to many administrators. Unfortunately, owners must manually make themselves admin before using any commands. Instead of searching for specific server files to accomplish this, our user interface simplifies everything. However, newcomers to the hosting scene may be unfamiliar with this process. Due to this, we’ve created this Apex Hosting guide to show you how to become an admin on your Palworld server.
Becoming Admin on a Palworld Server
If you haven’t already done so, purchase a Palworld server from our Pricing Area to get started! The majority of these steps require you to set an admin password, and then use that accordingly in-game. Afterward, you can review our other sections below to see what commands are available. When you’re ready, follow the instructions to become an admin in your Palworld server.
- Head towards your Apex server panel, then click
Customizations
at the top left. - Under “Security” change the
Admin Password
field to anything you want. - Return to the main panel and
Restart
the server, then join when it’s online. - While in-game, open chat and enter the
/AdminPassword [password]
command. - If successful, you’ll see the “You are now an Admin” message.
Palworld Admin Commands
At the time of writing this, there are only 10 available commands for Palworld dedicated servers. In future updates, the number of them may change. Examples include the ability to kick players, shut down the server, and broadcast messages. These can greatly help manage your community, so keep them in mind while exploring the list below.
Command | Description |
---|---|
/Info | Displays general server information. |
/Save | Saves all world data. |
/Broadcast [text] | Send messages to all players. |
/ShowPlayers | Lists all active players on the server. |
/TeleportToPlayer [SteamID] | Teleport yourself to another player. |
/TeleportToMe [SteamID] | Teleport another player to yourself. |
/KickPlayer [SteamID] | Forcibly removes a player from the server. |
/BanPlayer [SteamID] | Permanently bans a player from the server. |
/Shutdown [seconds] [text] | Shuts down the server in a specified amount of seconds, with optional text. |
/DoExit | Forcibly stops the server. |
Managing Palworld Servers
Creating a Palworld server to play with friends or build large communities requires you to have admin permissions. This grants you all the power to manage players, along with other abilities. For instance, griefers might join the server and cause problems – using the ban or kick command can prevent that from happening. Besides that, it’s important to create a strong admin password so others can’t access those powers. If anyone does become an admin without your authorization, edit the “Admin Password” field on your panel and ban the player. Best of luck!
Common Issues
Make sure your admin password is correctly entered in-game with its corresponding command. Additionally, double-check that your changes made in the “Customizations” area were done successfully. Remember, you need to restart the server after editing the admin password field so everything works out. Afterward, you should be able to open chat and use the command to gain permissions.
In situations where you’re unable to use commands after becoming an admin, consider restarting the Palworld server and trying again. Otherwise, reboot your game and reconnect to see if that helps. However, this problem might be caused by either not fully becoming admin or entering invalid commands / arguments.
