Fans of RPG games may want to make Minecraft servers similar to them, resulting in an immersive experience for all. This is possible with modpacks, large collections of mods. One such pack is called Prominence II, offering players highly detailed gameplay with brand-new biomes, dungeons, dimensions, items, equipment, magic, machines, and so much more. With this in mind, we’ve created this Apex Hosting guide to show you how to install it and summarize what to expect from this amazing modpack.

Server Setup

If you haven’t already purchased a server from us, then do that here. Afterward, you may begin to follow the instructions below to host your own Prominence II Minecraft server.

1. Head towards your Apex server panel, then locate the Game File area.
   
2. Proceed to click on your currently selected option and type “Prominence II”.
3. Once found, select it and follow the prompts accordingly.
   
4. Make sure to press Restart Now, then wait for this to load everything.
   
5. If successful, the server will come online without problems.

Client Installation

Before connecting to your Prominence II Minecraft server, install the modpack on your launcher. We recommend using CurseForge for this process, as it’s extremely easy. Follow along below to get started!

1. Download and install the CurseForge launcher, required for this setup.
   
2. Afterward, navigate to Prominence II and press the Install button.
   
3. This should automatically open the launcher to begin the installation.
4. Wait for this to finish, then click the Play button on the right.
   
5. Afterward, you can join the Prominence II server to begin the adventure.

Prominence II Modpack

Once you join the Prominence II server, a whole new world awaits you! Whether you focus on exploration or progression, this modpack offers you a wide variety of activities to do in Minecraft. Examples include finding legendary equipment in hidden dungeons or discovering mysterious biomes full of surprises. There are over 400 Fabric mods in Prominence II, meaning the possibilities are endless. Additionally, due to this high amount – we’ll showcase some features you can expect.

Structures & Biomes

While traversing through the world, you and other players alike will notice new biomes. These can be extremely large mountains, darkened forests, or many others. Each of them contains unique resources, such as elder wood for crafting new items. Keep this in mind while exploring the Minecraft world, as you might stumble upon valuable blocks. Alternatively, it could be extremely dangerous!

In some cases, you might even find yourself near a randomly generated structure. These can be upgraded villages, custom outposts, towers, temples, shrines, and many more. Most of the time, there will be chests in these structures – occasionally being found underneath them. This is the best way to begin your adventure, as locating powerful gear or helpful resources is a great way to kickstart the fun.

Dungeons

Whether you’re underground or on the surface, dungeons can appear for you to discover. For example, one of these sends you to a completely different dimension full of mazes, enemies, and loot. This particular structure is found on the Overworld, with its portal already ignited for you to enter. Other times, you’ll encounter similar dungeons in large caves and caverns waiting to be conquered. Having friends tag along is highly recommended, as some of these structures can be extremely hostile to life.

Remember, the Prominence II modpack for Minecraft is RPG-based. This means when you enter third person, it’ll resemble other games in the genre. This is amplified by the fighting animations too, along with the countless weapons, shields, and armor to find. Minecraft Dungeons plays a huge role in the gameplay, as many items and aspects from it are implemented in-game. Just remember to not get lost in these dungeons, as they can be confusing at times with all the different rooms.

Unique Items

Whether you want swords, daggers, katanas, bows, wizard staffs, or even musical instruments, Prominence II provides you with them all to enjoy. These can have different rarities too, meaning sometimes you might find ultra-rare weapons or armor. Although, the majority of the time players will only encounter common loot. This makes every chest an opportunity to find something amazing inside! With over 400 mods, there’s bound to be a perfect item for you.

Shape Your Destiny!

As you continue playing on your Prominence II Minecraft server, random encounters will show up. These are mainly NPC interactions, with the common one being lizard humanoids. You might be able to even befriend them as a companion to help you overcome the many challenges in-game. Beyond this feature from the modpack, there are lots of opportunities to build machines for automotive farming. Alternatively, you can focus on magical spells to become the ultimate wizard in Minecraft!

Prominence II – FAQ

Only Fabric 1.20.1 can support the Prominence II modpack, but other versions like Forge are available on CurseForge to try out. However, these other packs might be missing some features in the Fabric type.

This depends on your computer, but normally 4-6 GB is recommended – which is also applied for the server. Increase this if you have any issues or problems loading/running the game.

Yes! You’re able to download and install any supported mods to this pack. Whether you do this on your launcher or server, it’s entirely up to you.
