In the vampire-ruled world of V Rising, part of the fun is teaming up with or against other players. While joining a dedicated V Rising server is easy, maintaining or attracting new players can be a difficult task. When there are so many different servers to choose from, creating a unique description can appear inviting to prospecting players. Whether you choose to add a welcome message, list a few rules, or even link to a website, this is all achievable. Changing a V Rising description is easy with Apex Hosting’s customization tab, so we have created this tutorial to help you get started.
How to Set a Server Description
- Navigate to the Apex Server Panel, then log in.
- At the top of the page, press the
- In the left-hand menu, enter the
- Here, find the
Server Descriptionand its accompanying text field.
- In the text field, enter the desired server description.
- Once complete, return to the main panel page and restart the server.
The server will now start up with your configured server settings. Once it is fully online, the changes can be viewed in-game!
To view the description changes, launch V RIsing and select Play from the main menu. Simply navigate to Online Play, press FInd Servers, then choose to display all servers. Simply search for your game server in the list, then select it. In the right-hand menu, it will then display the server name and the description underneath of it.
After that, your new description is accessible for all prospective players to view. The most helpful use for this feature is to display server rules or vital information that players need to know before joining. Whether this is rules against griefing, the last wipe date, or more, these are infinitely helpful. Thanks to the ease of changing the setting, you can also update the description at any time to fit the need. With this new information in mind, you are now able to change the V Rising server description and continue your vampiric domination.
The description is not changing:
If the description does not properly update it after you updated the customization, it may not have loaded properly on the server. First, return to the Apex Server Panel and restart the server. This will ensure that the configurations take effect when it fully starts up. If issues are still occurring, restart V RIsing on your own computer, as that can help clear the server cache.
I can’t find my server in the list:
If you cannot find your V Rising server in the browser, make use of the search bar to locate the name easily. In addition to this, ensure the filters are not marked in a way to discourage the server from appearing. In some cases, V Rising can take some time for the server to appear, so it may take a few minutes before it will fully appear in the list.
