Grappling Hook Iron

The grappling hook can be crafted inside of a crafting table, using a fishing rod in the middle, then 3 materials in the corner. Depending on the material, the number of uses will increase.

Wood Planks: 5 uses
Iron Ingot: 20 uses
Gold Ingot: 25 uses
Emerald: 40 uses
Diamond: 100 uses

Obtaining through Commands:

/gh give - Gives a 50-use grappling hook in the user.
/gh give [#] - Gives a grappling hook to the user with a specific number of uses.
/gh give [player] - Gives a grappling hook to the inventory of a specified player with 50 uses.
/gh give [player] [#] - Gives a grappling hook to the inventory of specified player with a specific number of uses.

How to Use:

Grappling Hook Launch
Grappling Hook Launch2

The main use of the grappling hook is grappling, naturally. Using the item, you can throw it like a normal fishing rod until it is attached to the top of a block. Once hooked, simply reel it in to launch yourself up!

Grappling Hook Rappel

Now that you’re up, you’ll have to get down. Luckily, the grappling hook will also let you get back down. Simply attach it to a block nearby, then jump down. You will automatically float down to the bottom safely. Then simply switch the held item or walk away for the grappling hook to retract without pulling you.

Grappling Hook Mob

Like a normal fishing rod but more powerful, you
can hook entities and pull them towards you with a lot of force.

Grappling Hook Item

An item too far away? Simply hook it, then reel it in to receive the item right to your inventory.

While the plugin will work automatically without permissions, you can choose to add them yourself using the following:

grapplinghook.pull.self - Allows player to pull themselves with the hook
grapplinghook.pull.mobs - Allows player to pull mobs with the hook
grapplinghook.pull.players - Allows player to pull other players with the hook
grapplinghook.pull.items- Allows player to pull items with the hook
grapplinghook.craft.wood - Allows player to craft wood grappling hooks
grapplinghook.craft.stone - Allows player to craft stone grappling hooks
grapplinghook.craft.iron - Allows player to craft iron grappling hooks
grapplinghook.craft.gold- Allows player to craft gold grappling hooks
grapplinghook.craft.diamond - Allows player to craft diamond grappling hooks
grapplinghook.command.give - Allows player to use command /gh give
grapplinghook.player.nopull - Player can not be pulled by other players
grapplinghook.player.nocooldown - Player ignores grapple cooldown (if one is set)

With that, you are now ready to take the skies with the grappling hook plugin! Whether you allow it for all players, add it as a kit, or anything else, nothing is more fun than grappling around heights. This can be used as a base’s secret entrance, used to drop down into ravines, and many other options. Once crafted, you’ll always want to have one on hand as a necessary survival and exploration tool. Now that you know how to install this plugin, you can add it for yourself and use it however you wish. Enjoy your new grappling hook and remember to have fun!
