How to Start an Eco Server
Managing and creating a dedicated Eco server can be a very difficult task. To do this it requires expensive hardware, specialized software, and unlimited bandwidth in order to provide the best possible experience for players. Seeing how difficult this setup is, we decided to take the difficult part out of your hands. We offer an affordable, simple Eco server setup allowing you to play with your friends easier than ever before. As one of the oldest and most experienced server hosts in the world, Apex Hosting has perfected how to effectively and efficiently manage these servers. Starting an Eco server is not as simple as installing some software. These servers require dedicated server software that allow outside connections for any player. Our system does all of this hard work for you while automatically updating the server to the latest version. We also make managing the server easier than ever with our web-based game panel. This allows you to install mods, change the map, control the server settings, and much more! Without a dedicated server, you will be relying on random servers in the server browser every time you wish to play. With an Eco Server from Apex Hosting, any player can join your server whenever they please.
To join an Eco server, you must first log into the Apex Server Panel and find your server. Here, scroll down to the IP Address:Port section and copy the full server address. Once that is done, launch Eco until you are on the main menu. From the menu, select the Join Game option and select a character. When a prompt window appears, enter the IP Address digits before the colon (:) into the first field, then the last 5 digits following the colon in the port field. When entered, press Join Server to begin connecting!
How to adjust the server name for Eco?
To change the server’s name, first access the Apex Panel and turn off the server. In the left-hand menu, proceed to the Customizations Tab. Here, locate Server Name and its matching text field to the right. Simply replace/enter your desired server name into this text field. Once complete, return to the main panel area and restart the server. Once the server is back online, the server name will be changed for everyone.
How to disable tutorial messages for Eco?
To disable tutorial messages for all players, first login to the Apex Panel page, then stop the server. Once it is completely offline, enter the Customizations page from the left-hand menu. On this new page, find the Tutorial Messages area with the accompanying check box. Untick the checkbox to disable the message, then return to restart the server. When the server is online, tutorial messages will be disabled for all players on the server.
