Thanks to both the Steam and in-game server browser, joining an Arma 3 server is extremely easy. First, visit your Apex server panel and scroll down to the IP Address:Port section of the page. Here, use the copy button before opening the Steam application. At the top select View > Servers until a new tab opens. Press Add a Server, paste the IP, then add the address to favorites. You can now refresh the server page to allow your Arma 3 server to appear. Simply highlight the server and press connect to begin joining. The Arma 3 application will launch, prompting you to choose your configuration before connecting you to the server.
To change the Arma 3 server name, visit the Apex Panel and log in. Here, stop the server until it is fully offline. In the left-hand menu, locate and select the Config Files option, followed by Server Config. Within the new menu, find the “hostname” option and make note of the current name within quotation marks. Simply adjust the name to the one you desire, then press Save at the top. Once this is complete you can return to the main panel page and restart the server to begin loading these changes. Next time you view the server in-game or through Steam, your selected name should be visible for all to see.
To adjust the server password, visit the Apex Server Panel and stop the server. From here, locate and enter the Config Files found in the left-hand menu. Afterwards click and enter the Server Config to open the text editor for the file. Locate the “password” field with two quotation marks. Enter your desired password between the quotations, then press Save for these to take effect. Return to the main panel page and restart the server to allow these adjustments to reflect in-game. The server will now be private, requiring players to enter a password before joining.
