Minecraft News

Good morning everyone, and welcome to the 69th week of our weekly news blog! I’m your host, Dave, and we’re just gonna jump straight into our topics. In regards to Minecraft, we have more progress made on 1.18 in the form of snapshot 21w38a. This is a fairly small snapshot that has few changes. Sprinting is no longer reduced to walking when touching a wall slightly, and small fixes have been made to ore distribution. This along with nearly a dozen bug fixes concludes the snapshot.

Overall, I am very pleased with Mojang’s latest progress on the upcoming second part of the Caves and Cliffs update. For a while, they weren’t very consistent with progress, but that was mostly due to the technical complexity of the changes being made. Now that they’ve jumped over the tallest hurdles, those being the terrain generation and world height changes, it should be smooth sailing. That is, relatively speaking. I’m sure that Minecraft will release the coming update and all future content in a timely manner.

Apex Haul

A new and fresh improvement to our usual way of doing this, you can now read all there is to know about Apex and the week we had with this new Haul section! There isn’t much to look at this time, but be sure that we will add more here as it comes.

swingthrough grass

How to Install and use the SwingThroughGrass Mod – An awesome Youtube tutorial that goes over the installation and functionality of the SwingThroughGrass mod. Although self explanatory, we love to cover every little detail when it comes to modded Minecraft!

Apex Hosting News

What’s going on with everyone today? Seems like a slow day.

Santiago – Life.

Erika – Erika started college! Congratulations and good luck!

Antonio – Antonio has been walking 10km daily, holy crap! He says it feels nice though, so that’s good.

Lloyd – Lloyd found a nice Asian grocery store, so that’s nice.

Apex Hosting Changelog

– Las Vegas, Nevada has been REMOVED from the website entirely, and can no longer be purchased.
– Los Angeles, California has been ADDED to the website as a replacement for NV. This is now the preferred location for clients that are in that region.

Community Gulp

warden clay figure

Coming to you with yet another Reddit post from user Agreeable-Plum7110 a few days ago. They have managed to craft a wooden and clay figure of the Warden from the Caves and Cliffs part 2 update! And I’m not talking about an ingame recreation, but an actual real life figure! As you can see in the image, it looks incredible! I particularly like the soul-sand-esque faces that can be seen in the ribcage, along with the bright blue accents all across the body. This is definitely an enjoyable build, especially because it took real sweat and effort!

If you want to be a part of our community gulp section on this blog, consider joining our official Discord! There, you can ask questions, talk to fellow Apexians, keep up with our latest events, post memes, and share your own content. We hope to see you there!

Conclusion

That’s the weekly news blog, everyone! Minecraft has been making great strides towards 1.18, and I have no doubt that it will release in due time. Although I’ve been saying this for literal months, I don’t fret! Faith keeps my afloat, just like Microsoft money keeps Mojang alive. The Apex crew is doing great as always, although I couldn’t get word out of many of them. And we also had a community gulp, which we haven’t had many of lately. The reddit post I shared shows off a beautifully made statuette, which you all probably enjoyed. With all that said, I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
