Minecraft News:

Well, this is gonna be a handful. I got lots to say, but not so much time to say it. Minecraft Live went off with a hitch, and 1.17 was officially announced as the ‘Caves & Cliffs’ update! The new features, mobs, generations, and mechanics are all interesting, but we won’t be going over that here!caves and cliffs You’ll just have to take my word for it, and trust that I’ll post more information another time.

In regards to the Mobvote, the winner is…(drumroll) the Glow Squid! Now, I am a little disappointed I didn’t get my choice, the Moobloom, I think this will be a great addition to the game. Imagine the luminescent ink spewing mob swimming in the newly generated caves. It will be quite the sight!

Currently, Mojang is allowing anyone to ask them questions on Twitter. All you have to do is tweet with #AskMojang in your tweet, and your question just might be answered! Good luck, and maybe you’ll be one of the few that really gets Mojang on the ball.

Apex Hosting News

Be enraptured in the mundane things all of us do every day! Quite a big haul today, so get ready!

Amber – Amber stubbed her toe, and that made me cringe! Nothing more.

Joseph – Joseph is working on finishing his modpack guide today.

Kevin – He says he has become another AFK bot for Treebo with Robert, whatever that means.

Ritty – Ritty is training for Dev today, and I wish them the best of luck!

Daniel – Upon taking my dad’s truck apart to fix it, only to have a brake line burst on the test drive. Yikes!

Erika – Erika has a cold while having to make a 16-part recipe for a cooking course. That sounds like a handful.

Aaron – Aaron went through the long process of fixing his dishwasher, which malfunctioned twice. It was a lengthy task, but he managed. He also started “Salvation” which seems fun. On top of all of that, he’s also learning C, which is really interesting. Good luck to you, bro.

Cory – Cory is playing Bingo this friday.

Ricky – Ricky got a spam musubi maker shipped to his house which he claims will enable him to make the best food forever. I hope!

Cody – Cody just got his A/C fixed around ten minutes ago. If he lived in Florida like me, he’d be dead already!

Allan – Allan just set up a 1.5.2 server. Is it really new, though?

Dave – I am setting up a modpack like no other. Details are scarce, but you’ll just have to trust that it will be great!

Community Spotlight

I got nothin’ for you this week. That’s right. Nobody is being showcased today, but that’s ok! If you’d like, you can get yourself featured by joining the official Apex Discord. Just look out for me blabbering in #general, and you can showcase anything.

Community Gulp

Controversy sprawls across the Minecraft community as everyone argues over the legitimacy of the Mobvote. Some believe that the vote should be taken again, as the vote was swayed by popular influencers in the Minecraft community. For example, Dream, who is to believed the current most popular Minecraft content creator requested people vote for the Glow Squid. The Glow Squid won, so some are using this as a reason for the vote being unfair.
BUTDREAMSAID
I personally don’t see this as an issue, as people shouldn’t need a legitimate reason to vote for a certain mob. If you want to vote for the Glow Squid because your favorite content creator wants it, that is reason enough. Regardless, people will always find reasons to be angry.

Conclusion

Quite the haul, as always. Finally, 1.17 is here. Caves and Cliffs galore, many adventures and explorations await us on our way into the depths. In other news, we also have the Glow Squid to welcome us in this new update, so that’s nice! In regards to Apex Staff, we’re all doing different stuff. As always, we like to have fun around here. For the Community Spotlight, I thought it’d be funny to exclude everyone this time around, so I did! Next, I’m a little sad to see that there are some bad apples in our community that are so spiteful of the decision that we as a Minecraft community made. The Glow Squid was chosen, and for better or worse, it’s here to stay. Even if content creators swayed the vote, that isn’t justification for a new vote. Anyway, you probably have a different opinion, and that’s okay. I hope you all have a great week!
