Hello everyone! Today we got a pretty standard weekly report, but that won’t stop me! Mojang hits us with Snapshot 20w45a, one of the first content updates of the upcoming 1.17 Caves and Cliffs update. This is a massive ‘snapshot’ which in actuality is the addition of everything we saw at Minecraft Live. This includes but is not limited to Candles, Amethyst Geodes, Copper, Tinted Glass, and more! You can check out everything involving bugs and specifics on the official Minecraft site here.
I think it’s safe to say that after the release of 1.16.4 along with snapshots being released for 1.17, we won’t be seeing any new content or major updates for 1.16. Wooh, that’s a mouthful. Regardless, we can say goodbye to the old, and welcome the new! Even if it takes nearly a year ;_;
Joseph – Red… Bull… He buys them in bulk for heaven’s sake. It’s genuinely impressive.
Erika– Erika’s cat ate her tomato. Are you kidding me? Lol.
Ricky – Ricky has been going to the gym, and although he says he hasn’t lost any weight he feels a lot better. Man sad. Lift heavy rock. Man happy.
Drew – Drew is moving to his first apartment soon! He also has completed Super Mario Sunshine, which is awesome! Completionist, I suppose?
Cory – Cory played Bingo Friday and Sunday, and even won a bit. Nice job, Cory!
Dave – C’mon now. It’s your boy. I’ve been playing on my custom modpack which has been held up by the support department. It’s pretty fun!
– Blog posts now support embedded Youtube videos just like our knowledge base articles.
– Some red text colors have been adjusted for better WAVE compliance.
– The modpack version widgets on our pack pages have been updated to better display multiple versions. This is especially useful for versions like Forge.
– A new header has been added to the Reviews page to follow proper HTML5 structure.
This week, I don’t have anything to spotlight. Although this spot is empty, you don’t have to feel empty! If you would like me to showcase anything you’ve created, anything you find cool, or just a simple picture of your dog then don’t forget to join our official Discord here!
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Minecraft Middle Earth! An extremely grandiose project ten years in the making which aims to be a full recreation of Middle Earth, from the infamous Lord of the Rings movies/novels. MCME is the oldest build server in Minecraft, and it has continuously been built upon for over ten years. Recently, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its existence, the server put together a beautiful montage/documentation of builds over the years.
It is truly breathtaking to see how history can be crafted on a Minecraft server. The builds are amazing and vast, and there is a real sense of community. You can check out the video here, and you can check out all the builds on the server yourself on the IP: build.mcmiddleearth.com
Well, that’s all folks! Looks like we’re one step closer to 1.17 being released. And by one step closer, I mean about a hundred steps until… Regardless, we got some cool content to play with! You can be sure that us employees will be on that stuff ASAP! As soon as we clock out, that is. Next, that build server recreating Middle Earth looks awesome! The builds look so impressive! You know, if a build takes a render distance of 10+ chunks, it’s gonna be good. Welp, that’s all I have for you guys this week. With that said, have a great day!
