Hello everyone, and welcome to the Apex Hosting weekly news blog! It’s that time of the week again. Time for me to disappoint you with the unfortunate news that Minecraft 1.20 still hasn’t released. I know. Me too, right? Anyway, let’s get started.
Minecraft 1.19.4 Pre Release 4 is out now! Inside of this pre release we see even more polishing to the next minecraft update and we catch some changes to the Minecraft Cherry Blossom, Sniffer, and more! But what’s really important about this update? Well, a button in the option menu will be added to view the game credits. Not a major change, but something which is fairly important. It’s always good to remember those who work so hard to make an enjoyable gaming experience for us. I wonder if Notch will be included in those credits. His relationship with Microsoft has been less than ideal post acquisition of the game. In any case, I hope it is! The new button is pretty cool looking, being titled ‘Credits & Attribution…’ which will then open a separate menu with three buttons: Credits, Attribution, and Licenses. Pressing the credits will bring you to a credits scroll, but pressing Attribution or Licenses will bring you to a speerate page on the Minecraft website with that information.
Next, the Cherry Leaves have been adjusted ever so slightly. There are now slightly different green bits in the form of a little more saturation. These tiny adjustments are what’s needed to make new blocks!
The Finals beta is pretty cool!
Dave – I’ve been playing the beta for The Finals.
Austin – Austin showed us all his cat, and it’s absolutely adorable!
Ashley – Ashley showed off some cute pictures of her dogs. What’s getting into everyone showing off their pets today?
Dennis – Dennis says hi from Barcelona. I hope he’s enjoying his trip!
Soon after release, Sons of The Forest is looking to receive an update alreadY! Endnight recently hosted a Reddit and Discord AMA session where the team had expressed they have quite a bit in store following the game’s hot drop on Steam.
One of the more significant improvements Endnight wants to make in the survival game involves giving your friendly companions mre of a presence in the gameplay. Apparently, the companion ‘Kelvin’ will be able to perform more tasks, including ones of greater complexity. For example, you will be able to have Kelvin construct walls around your base, fortify/repair the base when needed, and more. For Virginia, you’ll be able to give her more bravery if she has a weapon and that stat will scale depending on how many mutants/cannibals she’s killed. The idea is to create situations that allow you to predict the outcome much easier by having quantitative values hidden behind the scene. How interesting!
Apparently, there has been a vast amount of fanfare over an item from the original ‘The Forest’ which hasn’t made a return in Sons of The Forest. The log sled received a surprising amount of fans begging for it to return into the new game, but the developers did not commit to adding it into the new sequel. Endnight also did not have an actual date in mind for when the upcoming update can be expected, but I’m sure they’re worked hard.
That’s the week! Not much happened this week, but Minecraft had a very interesting addition in the form of credits being added to the game, finally! Now I can actually support the individual developers who worked so hard to make cool block game. The team is also doing great, all showing off their pets. Lastly, Sons of The Forest is going to receive an update soon. I’m particularly excited to see if they cave in to the fans and actually release the log sled. That’d be neat to see! In any case, I wish you all a wonderful day!
