Treasure2 Mod Minecraft

Overview

As you and other players alike explore the Minecraft world for resources, naturally generated structures may appear on the horizon. These provide you with lootable chests, typically found in villages or mineshafts. However, these collectible items can be unsatisfactory for many users. This can spark a desire to find solutions, which tends to involve mods. One of them is known as Treasure2 for Forge, introducing you to new buildings with locked chests, special keys, charms, and more. Using this on your dedicated Minecraft server is a wonderful way to obtain resources, such as weapons, armor, tools, blocks, and potions, among others. Whether you play with friends or in singleplayer, this mod comes in handy. As for its setup, our panel simplifies the entire process for your convenience. Although, a handful of newcomers to the modding scene may be confused about its steps. Due to this, we’ll show you how to install and use Treasure2 on Minecraft in this Apex Hosting guide.

How to Download

We highly recommend using the Forge 1.12.2 version of this modification, as it has the most functionality and features. Otherwise, you can try out other types to see if they work nicely with your setup. When you’re ready, follow the instructions below to download Treasure2.

Getting Started

Treasure2 Mod Minecraft

Upon joining the server, you may instantly notice new buildings or other areas from the Treasure2 mod. Whether you see structures, wells, or graves, these locations naturally generate in the Minecraft world for players to discover. These are where the new chests are found, making them worthwhile to explore. However, there are a few steps before collecting its loot since keys are required to unlock them. With this in mind, it’s encouraged to install the JEI mod so you and others can easily access crafting recipes. Alternatively, viewing the official wiki is another option to understand this information, plus more. Whenever you’re ready to get started with the Treasure2 mod in Minecraft, follow these subsections to learn the basics of everything.

Treasure Preparation

Before anything, you and other players must have keys to unlock chests. These are mainly found in them, making it hard to obtain. However, crafting a Treasure Tool will come in handy since there are craftable keys. Its recipe requires x1 Iron Ingot, x1 Stick, and x1 Stone. This item doesn’t directly open chests, as it’s another material for crafting keys.

Treasure2 Thief's Lock Pick

The best craftable key early on is called the Thief’s Lock Pick, allowing you to unlock three commonly found chests in the Minecraft world. Its recipe requires x4 Iron Nugget and x1 Treasure Tool, making it somewhat inexpensive to make. We highly recommend crafting as many of these items as possible since they’ll be used often. Otherwise, players can do this as needed since locating treasure can be difficult.

Locating Treasure Spots

While exploring the Minecraft world, players may stumble on a handful of unique structures or locations. One of these is a stone house, commonly found throughout the environment across several biomes. Almost all of these areas don’t have chests inside of them, as they’re considered markers for them. This means you’ll need to break the blocks underneath it to find anything. Keep a keen eye out for this kind of building, along with other structures.

Treasure2 Graves

Other times, players will stumble upon graves with ghoulish zombies nearby. Make sure to be well equipped before fighting them, then start digging downwards to uncover treasure. However, it might be best to destroy the gravestones before other hostile creatures spawn. If you do this, make notes about the location since it can easily be lost since the chest is underground. We encourage having Xaero’s Minimap installed to make waypoints for these areas.

Excavating Sites

After finding a structure in the Minecraft world, you’ll want to excavate it for the chest. This tends to involve breaking blocks at its center point, revealing wood logs, save, gravel, or other materials. In some cases, you may even stumble into a trap with tnt. Make sure to have shovels, axes, and pickaxes on hand before starting this process, along with your keys. After reaching the chest, it occasionally can be in a large room with a few hostile creatures nearby.

Alternatively, the dig sites may reveal a one block hole with no traps or enemies around it. This typically happens for graveyards but isn’t always promised. Remember, the versions of the Treasure2 mod change these features and generation. Depending on the one selected for your setup, it can switch up how you excavate these areas of interest. Either way, it’s worthwhile to dig around any new structure you find in-game.

Unlocking Chests

Once you’ve reached a chest, it can have one or three locks on it. This means you’ll need to have many keys available to use on them. However, some of these locks can be different and require multiple kinds to be unlocked. For example, there’s a Spider Lock that requires a Spider Key, while there’s an Iron Lock with its own respective key. As for the exact process to unlock chests, you’ll want to shift + right-click it. This may take a few times before a successful one breaks the lock.

Treasure2 Chest Loot

After unlocking a chest in the Treasure2 mod, you’ll find many unique items inside. These range from vanilla materials to custom ones. For instance, there’ll be coins, charms, keys, rings, and more for the taking. We highly recommend keeping everything since they can be used for other activities, such as enhancing your character’s abilities or obtaining more loot depending on the item.

Charms & Jewelry

As for the different types of charms and pieces of jewelry, there are countless of them. Whether you’re wanting a ring, necklace, or bracelet, there’s something for you to wear. These have unique abilities for your character, such as Mirtha’s Torch illuminating the nearby environment every five seconds by placing torches.

Other ones may change your damage absorption or regeneration. Unfortunately, these cannot be crafted and are only found in chests.

Modifying Items

Treasure2 Jeweler’s Bench Charming Table

If you’re unhappy with your current charms and jewelry in Minecraft, then consider modifying them. There are two interactable blocks that’ll help you achieve this goal, which are the Jeweler’s Bench and Charming Table. The first allows you to customize rings, necklaces, and other items for even better abilities. This involves you gathering special materials, then placing them accordingly.

The second block provides you with a way to add runestones and combine charms to become powerful items. We advise hovering over these blocks in your inventory to learn more about these processes.

Wishing Wells

There’s another method to getting even more items in your Minecraft server or singleplayer world with the Treasure2 mod. One unique structure known as a Wishing Well provides you the means to do this, as it transforms thrown coins into random materials. Whether you get lucky and get a unique sword or receive common loot, this adds another level to collecting resources. Keep in mind that gold coins are the best for this process, meaning you’ll get rare items.

Types of Chests

Treasure2 Chest Types

There aren’t just a handful of chests to discover in Minecraft, there’s over 18 of them! This means you’ll have lots of opportunities to find good loot, but all require keys to unlock. However, only a few of them don’t so keep on the lookout for that in-game. Additionally, some Mimic Chests are also possible with the Treasure2 mod. These are hostile creatures that act like normal chests but will damage you upon trying to be unlocked.

Common Issues

Unable to Join Server

In cases where you’re unable to join the server, double check you’ve successfully installed the correct files on the Minecraft launcher. Remember, these should be stored in the local mods directory while having Forge enabled too. Keep in mind that you’ll need to ensure all of this matches up with your desired Game Version. Additionally, if you don’t also have the dependency mod it’ll continue to reject your connection. If the situation persists, then this could indicate an issue on the server. Confirm that you’ve selected Forge with the corresponding version in the Game File area, then uploaded the same files into the mods folder via the FTP panel. Afterward, restart and try to join again to see if that works as intended.

Cannot Find Treasures or Wells

While exploring the Minecraft world, if you find almost no structures or other areas from Treasure2, then this could indicate the selected mod version isn’t worthwhile using. For example, at the time of writing this the latest 1.19.4 build has barely any buildings for players to discover. Switching this to 1.12.2 automatically increases your chances of finding them. However, tweaking the configuration file(s) may also be another method to resolve this situation. Although this method doesn’t always fix the issue, depending on the version used for the mod. Alternatively, this could have been caused by failing to generate a new world after setting up Treasure2 on the server panel.

Inability to Open Treasure Chests

Occasionally, players may find themselves unable to open locked chests containing treasure. This can be caused by failing to have the correct key(s), as there’s many of them available with the mod. It’s encouraged to make note of the locks on the container, then obtain their respective items to open it. However, you’ll want to shift + right-click while holding the key to unlock it. Without doing this, it won’t work as intended. Keep this in mind when trying to open these treasure chests.
