Overview

Players in Minecraft will likely notice the abundance of items and materials to collect when joining their world. While there may be good ones to loot, sadly a common scenario is gathering many useless blocks, filling up your inventory slots. This may lead some to continuously store their trash in chests, barrels, or other storage entities. Unfortunately, the issue doesn’t entirely disappear since the items are taking unnecessary space. Solving this introduces the Trash Cans Forge mod, used for removing junk materials and even liquids or energy from the world. It’s extremely straightforward and easy-to-use, especially with our panel simplifying the entire process. We’ve created this Apex Hosting tutorial to give you a better understanding of how to install and use the Trash Cans mod on your Minecraft Forge server.

How to Download

Getting Started

Minecraft Trash Cans Mod

Upon joining your world, there won’t be any noticeable differences since the only features added are four blocks. These are all trash cans, but with unique aspects to each one. They work by transporting materials into the void, completely removing them from your game. However, there’s a filtering system to ensure certain items don’t disappear. This may come in handy if you have multiple trash cans for particular materials. Due to their abilities, we’ll be reviewing each one separately to get you started with the Trash Cans mod.

Item Trash Can

Item Trash Can GUI

By far the most popular one players will begin using is an Item Trash Can, allowing them to throw away any materials. These can range from weapons to consumables, meaning almost everything is accepted by the trash can. This is taken a step further if you mix other mods too, as Trash Cans support other custom materials. As for its crafting recipe, it requires three common materials: cobblestone, stone, and a chest. This allows for anyone to make it, which adds to its popularity.

Fluid Trash Can

Similarly to the Item variant, the Fluid Trash Can only allows liquids to be used in it. This is usually in the form of water or lava buckets, but other materials from mods can also work. For example, using a liquid item from Mekanism is completely compatible with Trash Cans. Sadly, this isn’t too popular due to barely anyone encountering a fluid storage problem. Regardless, you can craft this trash can with the same materials as before, but with a bucket instead of a chest.

Energy Trash Can

The least popular type is an Energy Trash Can, allowing you to drain energized weapons, tools, and other items. This might be a wonderful feature for servers that have Mekanism or other machine-based mods. Otherwise, this isn’t too useful without machine-based mods. Either way, an energy trash can gives players more options just in-case. Crafting this block involves the previously used materials, but with a piece of redstone dust instead of a chest or bucket.

Ultimate Trash Can

As for the last one, an Ultimate Trash Can combines everything above into one block. This means players can delete items, liquids, and energy in their world. It’s not absolutely necessary, but offers an all-in-one experience that no other block can provide. Crafting requires all three trash cans lined up in a row, making it an easy recipe. The main benefit to using this is saving space in your base, as it can do everything in one block.

Common Issues

Server or Launcher Isn’t Working
Whether your server or client isn’t working, confirm you installed Trash Cans and its dependency modification. This is extremely important, as without having one or the other, it’ll stop working. A popular issue to see is your server crashing, which is likely from missing the required mod. Although, sometimes the problem originates from the wrong game version being used. Double-check your mods are compatible with your server and launcher, then it’ll be fixed.

Unable to Use Trash Can
In this particular case, ensure the appropriate materials are used. For example, only liquids work in a fluid trash can and nothing else. Once you have the correct item, it’ll begin to function normally. However, it may be possible that some modded materials are unable to be destroyed in a trash can. Following this, testing out several different ones for your desired item is best.
