Woah! Another new Minecraft cape? That’s right, but players must complete various challenges on Bedrock Edition to unlock it. This event was known as MC Championship (MCC), offering tons of content to enjoy with friends. Unlike other ways to get a cape, this has never happened before! This all started when Minecraft celebrated its 15th Anniversary, but many players in the community never knew about MC Championship. If they did, the vast majority of them decided to not participate. That changed, as the MCC Cape was officially announced for both Java and Bedrock. This resulted in a growing number of players for the event.
Let’s begin to unravel what MC Championship has to offer and how to get the MCC Cape!
Brought to you by Noxcrew & Smajor, the MC Championship event for Minecraft started on July 22nd and ended August 4th. This means only two weeks were available, making it an exclusive and limited-time event. One of the main attractions was The Ender Cup, a live stream of famous content creators competition against each other to claim victory. Plenty of mini-games included parkour, survival combat, puzzles, and much more. Only the best of the best won!
Besides the main event, players around the world were able to join the Minecraft server and participate in select mini-games. All of them had similar themes compared to The Ender Cup, including daily puzzles. There were four games: Meltdown, Sands of Time, Grid Runners, and Ace Race. Each one challenged you in various activities from speedrunning to combat. Otherwise, it was parkour or baking cakes! Players were tasked with completing various challenges in these games to unlock the MCC Cape.
Players during the event had to complete 15 total challenges to unlock the MCC Cape. These ranged from slaying a number of mobs to finding secrets around the maps. Almost all of them involved playing the four select mini-games. However, one task was to finish seven puzzles that were unlocked daily. After completing everything, you were awarded with the MCC Cape for Bedrock and Java Edition!
While in-game on the MC Championship Minecraft server, players were able to open their Challenge List to view all remaining tasks. Most of them are easy, but take time to finish. On average, it took around 2-4 hours to complete everything. Fortunately, players had two weeks in total to work on these tasks. If you had the lucky fortune of being able to unlock the MCC Cape, the following list below was what you needed to accomplish.
The Minecraft Community has never seen anything like the MC Championship event, as it marks the first one offering players the opportunity to unlock an exclusive cape for both versions. Many consider the MCC Cape to be the hardest one to obtain, especially since it requires many hours of gameplay. For those fortunate enough to unlock it, they can flex in-game by wearing it for Java or Bedrock Edition.
If you missed out, don’t worry! There will be future events or activities for you to get a cape. Besides that, the main event surrounded The Ender Cup – where players could watch their favorite Minecraft influencer / content creator compete with other popular people.
We hope you had tons of fun during MC Championship and unlocked that special MCC Cape!
