Overview
As you play through vanilla Minecraft, you become overly familiar with each task that must be completed to advance your gameplay. Whether it’s making mob farms, mining, or growing food, these tasks are often simple enough but become repetitive. Many may find it tedious that they still need to grow food after achieving netherite armor, especially after playing for so long. While there are many vanilla solutions for these problems, they are not as streamlined as Industrial Foregoing. With this mod, you can create and automate machines to collect resources, farm mob drops, and much more. Installing mods is made easy with the Apex Hosting panel, so we have created this tutorial to show you how to get started.

How to Get Started with Industrial Foregoing
Once you spawn into your world, the first task is to create plastic in order to make the Dissolution chamber. This can be done by doing the following:
Pity Machine Frame
Before beginning any of the recipes, you will first want to craft a pity machine frame. This is used in most starter recipes for creating plastic.
- Redstone block x1
- Iron Ingot x4
- Any log x4
Fluid Extractors
With your Pity Machine Frame crafted, you can now create Fluid Extractors. These blocks will slowly extract latex from an attached tree. While only one is required, it is recommended to create 4 for each side of a log.
You can right-click any extractor to view its progress and how much latex has been stored. You will need a full tank of 1000mb to receive a bucket of latex for the next recipe. To speed up the process, consider adding a mod like Mekanism for more convenient power generation.
Latex Processing
With your new bucket of latex, you can create the next required block, the Latex Processing Unit. This block combines power, latex, and water in order to make Tiny Dry Rubber. It may be tedious to constantly use buckets in order to fill the tanks, but we will be automating this process shortly.
Creating Plastic
Once you have a fair bit of Tiny Dry Rubber, you are finally ready to create plastic! Simply combine 9 of the Tiny Dry Rubber in a crafting table, which will provide you with Dry Rubber. Afterwards, toss it into a furnace to cook and receive Plastic.
(Optional) Automation
Before we proceed with the next step, this is a great chance to begin automating the creation of plastic. If you do not already have Mekanism installed, it is highly recommended, as we will be using the fluid pipes for this process.
First, create a Water Condensator with the following materials:
- Plastic x2
- Piston x2
- Water Bucket x1
- Redstone Dust x1
- Iron Gear x2
Note: To create an iron gear, simply place 4 iron ingots into a crafting table in a circle shape across the top, bottom, left, and right.
Place your new Water Condensator next to some water source blocks and it will begin accumulating water automatically. Like the extractors, it will work without power, but will generate faster if energy is added.
Using the fluid pipes from a mod like Mekanism, you can connect the Latex Extractors and Water Condensator into the Latex Processing Unit. Once set up, the Tiny Dry Rubber should generate without any additional intervention, simplifying the process overall.
Dissolution Chamber
Once all of this has been completed, you are finally ready to create the Dissolution Chamber, a crafting block used to create new frames, machine addons, tools, and much more. To craft it, simply combine the following materials:
- Plastic x2
- Chest x1
- Pity Machine Frame x1
- Bucket x2
- Gold x2
- Diamond Gear x1
Common Issues
I receive an error when joining the server:
More often than not, this is caused by a missing mod or by having mismatched versions. If a specific mod error is provided, simply adjust your installation to match the requirements. Otherwise, ensure the server and client is running the same version of the mod or Forge. After this has been adjusted, restart both the server and your own game, then try to connect once again.
The game provides an error when starting:
If the game is throwing an error when starting up on either the server or client, this is often caused by a missing mod dependency. Industrial Foregoing requires Titanium to work, so ensure that the matching mod version is installed on both instances of the game. Once this has been rectified, restart the server and your game, then connect once again.
