Overview
When playing on dedicated Satisfactory servers, you may eventually amass many experiences within the server browser in-game. When this occurs, keeping each one unique and allowing it stand out will become beneficial for both players and server owners alike. Luckily, Satisfactory allows you to adjust the server name from in-game. This will allow your server to stand out amongst others and become memorable for other players. Knowing how to change the server name on a Satisfactory server can be confusing for unfamiliar players, so we have created this Apex Hosting guide to ease you through the setup process.
Changing the Server Name
- Navigate and open the Satisfactory game.
- From the main menu, select the
Server Manager
option. - In the top menu, proceed to the
Server Settings
tab. - Within the options, locate the
Server Name
text field. - In the text field, enter the new server name.
- Once complete, visit the Apex Server Panel, then press
Restart
. - Your server will now have your selected name upon starting up.
Common Issues
The server name did not change:
When this occurs, it often means that the server did not restart properly. In order to fix this, visit the Apex Server panel, then restart the server. Once the server is online, the name change should now be visible. If issues still occur, restart the game in order to refresh the game cache and try again.
Only the session name has changed:
If this occurs, return to the Server Settings page and ensure that the Server Name field is being adjusted, rather than the Session Name field, which is located nearby. Once the server name has once again been set, visit the panel and restart the server in order for the change to take effect.
