Overview
As you play throughout a Minecraft world, animals are a wandering resource for food and other items. It can become pretty boring to constantly breed and kill the animals, especially if a player wants to run a proper farm. Introducing Animania, a Minecraft mod that adds a variety of new mobs and items to make your survival experience more unique. From goats to peacocks and a variety of blocks like troughs, Animania adds many new features. Rather than just locking your animals in a pen forever, you must provide adequate food and water to maintain their happiness. Installing mods is easy with the Apex Hosting panel uploader, so we have created this guide to help you get started.
Summary
Animania is owned by Purplicious_Cow_ on CurseForge and is authored by Tschipp, javaraptor, and RazzleberryFox. The mod is available for 1.10.x, 1.11.x, and 1.12.x with well over 9 million downloads. By adding various breeds, genders, behavior, and blocks, this mod completely revamps the passive mobs from the game.

Gameplay Additions
As you spawn into your world, you may notice some new creatures roaming around. While some of these are cows and pigs like in vanilla, their new models should be evident in comparison.
New Animals
When both addons are installed, there are tons of new animals that are added to the game. Many of these animals are upgraded from their vanilla counterparts to have more designs and item compatibility.
Peacocks
The peacock comes in a variety of different colors, as well as dropping meat and peacock feathers upon its death.
Rabbits
Upgraded from their vanilla counterpart, these cute rabbits do not drop hide at the time of writing, but are still a good source of meat.
Cows and Bulls
While the cows are similar to vanilla, the bulls are often the same size as the player. There are many different breeds, including the mooshroom bull.
Pigs
With ears and a real curly tail, these pigs love to spend their time in mud, so make sure to include plenty in their pen!
Chickens
These chickens will drop meat and feathers like normal, but will only lay eggs when they are happy and have access to a nearby nest.
Goats
Like real life, bucks may occasionally spar with each other and will often graze on a handful of crops. They provide milk, which can be used to make goat cheese.
Sheep
Like their vanilla counterpart, sheep can be sheared for wool and will graze on grass or other crops. Rams may also try to spar with each other on occasion.
New Items/Recipes
With new mobs come new items and recipes to use as well. These are important for keeping your mobs happy, as well as some quality-of-life adjustments.
Troughs
Eating and drinking are vital to survival, which is the same for your dear farm animals. By placing a trough, you can fill it with water, pig slop, or wheat in order to keep your animals happy. Keep it stocked up though, as animals will go through it very quickly!
Nests
You may notice that the hens added through Animania will not drop eggs on their own. In order for eggs to be laid, a nest must be placed in close proximity. Additionally, having a rooster close to a nest will allow chickens to breed.
While the items themselves are not new, Animania reworks the vanilla recipe for a lead and adds a recipe for name tags. This makes it significantly easier to craft as leads no longer require slime balls and the name tag can be crafted very easily for use with your animals.
Common Issues
I get an error when attempting to join the server:
In order for any players to join the server, they must have the same mods installed on their own game as well. Make sure both of the mod files are fully installed to your game before trying to join. If you still receive issues, make sure you are launching your Forge profile, otherwise you will be unable to join.
The game gives an error when attempting to start:
Oftentimes, this will occur if CraftStudio API is not properly installed or the Forge version is incorrect. If the game doesn’t specify the exact error, ensure the correct version of Craft Studio API is installed, then try again. Otherwise, see if your specific version of Quark needs an exact version of Forge, then install it before attempting to start it again.
